I have just implemented Workflows as replacement for will be deprecated connectors on MS Teams. I have set up all my teammates as owners and so as myself. Connector is my own MS Teams email.
I ran sample alerts and I observed that I am posting as the "User via Workflows" in the Teams Channel as shown below:
Would be possible to provide an ALIAS for the user so we could generalize the sender (e.g. DevOps Monitor) and not the user itself? Maybe it's possible to just allow for an ALIAS once the connection is validated and we could just have an ALIAS to be entered in the custom value here:

Prasad-MSFT 6,886 Reputation points Microsoft Vendor2024-09-06T13:17:17.96+00:00 If you send by using option 'Flow bot', it will send as "[Your NAME] via Workflows" and if you send by using option 'User', it will send as "[Your NAME]"
You can also choose Power Apps option.FYI Post as Power Apps can only be used to send Cards for Power Apps into Teams. Please add Cards for Power Apps action in your flow.

2024-09-06T13:39:42.81+00:00 Thanks for the suggestion, but I would prefer as I mentioned to not send my "[USER NAME]" as the sender but normalize and formalize it like "DEVOPS MAINTENANCE" or something like this. Usually before with the teams webhooks, we could send and the sender would be the name of the channel.
Follow up-questions:
- When migration to workflows, wouldn't this be possible as well with an ALIAS meaning, instead if [USERNAME] via Workflows or [USERNAME], I would just like it to be the name of the channel?
- When using Power Apps, is it also possible that the sender is not [USERNAME] via Workflows or [USERNAME]?
Basically, my goal is to be able to keep the connection (any of the owners or members of the workflows who are also members of the channel), but not send as the [USER] or [USER via Workflows] but with an [ALIAS]

With the original connectors, you were able to define a name and image for the webhooks so you could easily tell where the message was coming from. Seems weird that there's no easy way to be able to do this with workflows.
