Updating the URL of a link in SharePoint library

Hi,

There are links in our SharePoint libraries. The URL of these links need to be updated to point to the correct location in SharePoint. Is there a way to update the URL of the link without losing the metadata associated with the link?

    Hi @Nishanth Chakkere,

    Per my research, URL files created in the document library cannot be edited. You could click Copy link to check the link of URL file.

    Here is a similar issue with yours:

    There is a workaround mentioned in the issue:

    You have to sync the files, or open in explorer, and manually edit the file itself with text editor.
