Hello All,

As I understand, Bhold is sunsetting, or will no longer be an active Microsoft product. In that case I would like to use MIM 2016 (on-premises) for a RBAC solution. I was planning on using the MIM 2016 portal sync rules, and workflow, to import groups, and then users in the portal can request access to join those groups, managers would get notification to approve request, and then users are added to the group and changes are synced to Active Directory via management agent export.

Would this be a possible RBAC solution using MIM 2016 / OOTB Portal solution?

    HI,

Yes, it is possible to use Request/Approvals OOTB without BHold.
There should be some examples on e.g. TechNet.

If you want more control over the approval process, you can use MIMWAL:
