Thank you for posting your inquiry here in Microsoft Community, ArjunDa Costa.

I understand that using the device with smooth performance is necessary to be able to serve its purpose.

May I confirm if the device is connected to any accessories like a Dock? Does issue gets resolve after connecting the charger?

Please perform the methods below:

  • Check the settings for new or remaining Windows Update.
  • Run the System File Checker.
  • Install the drivers package manually.
  • Check the specific OS build of your Windows SettingsSystemAbout.
  • Download the driver and firmware for Surface, choose Surface Laptop Studio and click download on the next page.
  • Please choose the .msi file that matches your current OS Build and click Next.
  • After the download, runand installthe .msi then Restart the Surface Device.

What is the OS build and version if your Surface? Go to search and Search for Winver.

    Hi John,

So the issue was that I was charging the laptop via my USB C. When I switched back to my regular charger it worked again. The issue would return when switch to USB C again.

I tried your fix after and it seems to have fixed the issue and I have been able to use USB C charging without issues.

    Thank you!
