Error: failed to initialize DirectX10

Question

I have installed Resident Evil 5. Attempted to start the game and then got an error "Error: failed to initialize DirectX10"

I have windows 7 ult 32bit, P5KPL-AM SE as my motherboard, 2gb of ram and no video card yet. The motherboard on the other hand has an onboard vcard about 256bit. Basically, with the games system requirements, i meet them.

Anyone can advice what i can do to resolve the problem? or what had caused the problem on the first place?

Hi,

I see that the game is not compatible with Windows 7 32bit operating system. Check the link mentioned below.

·        Recommended: Windows Vista (2GB or more) / Windows XP (1GB or more)

HDD

·        8.0GB or more

Monitor

·        Minimum Requirement 800×600

·        Recommended 1280×720 or larger

Graphics Card

·        Minimum Requirement: VRAM (256MB) / DirectX9.0c/Shader 3.0

o   NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series

o   ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro

·        Recommended: VRAM (512 or more)

Other

·        DVD9 Compatible Drive

·        DirectSound Compatible (DirectX9.0c or higher)

·        Mouse & Keyboard (Required)

·        Gamepad (Recommended: Xbox360 Controller for Windows)

·        Internet Broadband Connection For Online Modes

You can try to play the game in compatibility mode and check. Follow the steps mentioned in the article given below.
