error code 28 on network controller

Original title: error code 28

i have reinstalled windows vista on my inspirion mini 1210 because of i problem encountere. after this happened a number of drivers were unavailable most of which i have installed since. however, i keep getting error code 28 for the network controller device and everydriver i install to fix the problem hass since failed to fix the problem. i have paid ell £129 to try and fix the problem to no avail. help!!!

Hi sjlay23,

The error code 28 indicates that the driver for this device is not installed. The recommended resolution is to install the compatible device driver.

Try the following steps and check the result.

Step 1: Uninstall the driver

a. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.

b. From the list of items, right click on the network controller item and click uninstall.

c. Restart the computer.

Step 2: Download and install the driver

a. Visit Dell driver download website

b. Download the right driver.

c. Right click on the driver setup file and click run as administrator.

d. Once the driver is installed, restart the computer.

e. Check if the issue persists.
