Hi zeke1,

Welcome to Microsoft answers forums!

a.     Which version of sonic stage are you using?

b.    What is the exact error message?

Sonic stage is based on OpenMG software (OpenMG is an SDMI-compliant digital rights management scheme by Sony. It is designed for audio files in ATRAC3 format. The compliant software, e.g. Sony SonicStage, is usually capable of transcoding MP3 and wav files to OpenMG/ATRAC3. The file extensions OpenMG-encrypted files are .omg and .oma.)

Check the Windows vista compatibility centre link below.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=SonicStage&v=Sony&uid=4&pf=0&pi=0&s=sonicstage%204.3&os=32-bit

Step 1: Install the latest updates available from the manufacturer’s website.

Step 2: you may want to run the program using the compatibility mode

Make older programs run in this version of Windows

1.    Make sure the download file is not corrupt; try to install it on another computer and check.

**2.**Run the program as an administrator > right click on the program, select “run as administrator”

If the above mentioned steps don’t work, check with the program manufacturer
