Running SQL Express in production when user accessing it does not own hardware. IE 500 users on Citrix DDC with SQL Express

SQL Express I was told many years ago could not use it if you are cloud provider giving many different companies SQL access for applications. We run lot of application with SQL and we have new guy on staff who telling me to run it all on SQL Express. These are small databases so it would run. I am using SQL Web because it is only 8.25 for 2 vCPU per month.

You're asking this question with the microsoft-identity-manager tag, so I'm assuming you are asking if SQL Express is supported for MIM2016?

It is not officially supported, and I would not recommend using SQL Express for MIM.
