Windows Script Host error code 80070002 on startup. My system can't find some weird file.

I somehow previously had an error where my PC would boot up to the Command Prompt and not open Explorer.exe. I can to manually open Explorer in the CMD every time I booted up. I found a fix online where I changed something in the registry to point towards Explorer.exe, which fixed it. I don't know how it was changed, though. Possibly a virus, but all virus/malware scans turned out clean.

Still, there is a remaining bug. Whenever I start up, Windows Script Host gives me error code 80070002, "The system cannot find the file specified."

I have no idea what this Startup file is, if it's even necessary or the result of some odd registry changes. What can I do? I already tried verifying system files with the Windows Startup Repair.

Thank you for any advice.

    Hi Chziime

I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.

Go to the folder which is there in your screenshot

Open Notepad > Put following in this Notepad file

    WScript.Quit

Save this file as abs.vbs where abc is the name of your .vbs file in your screenshot (Make sure that you have selected All files in Save as type: box while saving otherwise it will append .txt at the end which you will have to remove)

    Reboot your PC

    The error will go away

    Hi Chziime

That file is not necessary to your system that is the remnants of malware that has already been removed form your system, the best fix is to recreate that file and put an exit script into the file

    Open Windows File Explorer

On the View Ribbon, temporarily turn on 'Hidden Items'

Paste this into the address bar in Windows File Explorer and hit Enter

    shell:startup

Right click in that folder and choose New - Text Document

Put this text in that file:

    Wscript.Quit

Then click File - Save As

At the bottom of the save as dialog, set save as type to *.*

    Save the files as GmCkcs6idNP4iqDcl)8vYt1p.vbs

Note you must enter the vbs file extension yourself

    Restart your PC

My Everything tab is too large to screenshot, but I uploaded my scan log file to Sync:
