Hardware acceleration issue

Hardware acceleration doesn't seem to work on my pc for some reason. I am scratching my head on this one. I have scoured the internet and I have yet to find the right solution..  I am running windows 10 pro on a custom built pc with a ryzen 5 2600 currently running stock with a GTX 1070 ti also running stock with 16gb ddr 4 3000 Gskill flare X running at 3200 speed on an Asrock X470 Taichi motherboard.  I currently have a dual monitor set up with a 144hz 2k display and a 1080p 60hz display. Whenever I run a program that uses HWA, it looks pink and digitized which forces me to disable the hwa for that program.  So far, I have had to disable hwa fro Spotify and Chrome.  I have completely uninstalled my display drivers and then reinstalled them. I have tried turning off G-Synch, I have tried changing resolutions and refresh rates.  At first, I thought it was an issue with my monitor because I first noticed the issue when I upgraded my monitor and I spent a couple of hours with Acer tech support with no resolution. But now since I have added a 2nd monitor I no longer believe that to be the case.  I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so what was the fix?  Should I try reinstalling windows?

Respectfully,

Brian

It looks like the Vampyre game as some display issues.

    • Have you tried the 'Green Screen Flickering / Black screen'  fix shown in the Steam forums below ?

(The fixes are about half way down the article)

    Thanks Andre,

I tried all your recommendations, unfortunately I was still not successful in correcting the issue.  I think there may be an issue with the display driver afterall, But I haven't found any posts from Nvidia graphics card users having the same problem.  Oddly, everything works perfectly while gaming.

    Respectfully,

    Brian

    Hi Brian

My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

Which version of Windows 10 is currently installed? See how to verify:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wik...

First, try restarting your graphics driver:

    Press Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B

    If that does not work...

    Press Windows key + X

    Click Device Manager

    Expand Display adapters

Right click the current display adapter

    Click Properties

    Click Driver tab

Click Rollback driver if the option is available

    If not

Right click the current display adapter

    Click Uninstall

Check the box that says, "Delete the driver software for this device.”

    Exit Device Manager

    Restart

Go to Start -> Settings -> Update & security, then Check for updates and install any available updates.

You might need to update the display driver from the manufacturer of your computers website.

    nVidia - http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

Some of these sites offer autodetect options.

If you are not on the latest Windows 10 Feature Update, I would try upgrading to it to see if it resolves the problem:

Go to the following page then click 'Update Now'

    https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win...
