unknow checkpoint feature

My computer seems to have a checkpoint-like feature, no matter what I do, just a restart and the computer will automatically revert to that checkpoint. I can't even update patches or even reset the computer; just turning it off and on again will automatically revert to that checkpoint.

This doesn’t seem to be an issue with the computer itself, but more related to the BIOS configuration, which affects the system as a whole. You mentioned trying to reset the computer—have you considered using the Media Creation Tool?

You can download it from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo... to create a USB drive with the Windows 10 installation.

Once you have that, you can use it to reset your computer. Here’s a helpful guide to walk you through the process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbGkPYtXtmA

The YouTube link is a non-Microsoft site, but it seems to offer accurate and safe information. Just be cautious of ads on the page, as they might promote products that are potentially unwanted. Always research thoroughly before downloading or installing anything.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. I'm here to help with your questions or issues. Just note – this is a place where passionate Microsoft users help each other, we don't work directly for Microsoft.

It sounds like your system might be stuck in some kind of recovery loop or has a very restrictive configuration.

Is this a personal computer or a work/school computer?

Thank you. When you restart the computer, do you notice any unusual prompts, messages, or logos during startup that might indicate a recovery or reset process is being triggered?
