After doing some more looking into it ive found other people with the same problem but back in 2018. This was also around the time when the problem started and my computer lost the ability to update. Heres the thread. I will try these solutions. Sorry for leaving out important info
100% Disk Usage Problem
So i have a Toshiba 2013 laptop and theres somehow an app using up all of my disk. Not disk space/storage but the disk when you open task manager. Normally on any other pc its below 60% but mine is on 100% until after maybe 3-4 hours of using it. When i scroll down on task manager theres no visible active and inactive app using it all up. Can anyone tell me where too see it or whats using all of it up?

2021-01-25T06:00:41+00:00 Greetings Dr.DerpyDerp,
I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, If the issue persists after you perform those steps , perform Repair Upgrade, this will re-install the Windows without affecting your files and apps, it will repair and replace any corrupted system files.
Step 1: Download Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
Step 2: Run MediaCreationTool.exe.
Step 3: Choose "Upgrade this PC now".
Step 4: Select "Keep personal files and apps".
Step 5: Let it install
I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.
With Warm Regards,

2021-01-24T07:00:38+00:00 Hello again Carlos, like i said in my post it doesn't show the app using up all my disk space including the background apps. The one that is currently using up the most disk is called system, but only uses around 2.2 megabytes while my disk is 699 gigabytes. I cant seem to find the app thats using it all up. Another app that seems to use up some disk is called Service Host Windows Update which uses around 16 megabytes which isnt close to the 699 gigabyte storage. I dont think i should execute the tasks however as they seem to be important. However i will run the perform reboot. Ill tell you how it works in the meantime. This problem has been going around for a few years at this point. Its not until recently my pc has started to slow down.
Edit: It seems like the app using up all my disk is a windows app as when all the apps were executed other than the window apps it was still at 100% disk.

2021-01-24T06:44:27+00:00 Good Day Dr.DerpyDerp,
My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.
I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.
Here's the steps you can try.
First, open the task manager, then click on Processes , take a screenshot and send it here or check what are the apps or services taking so much disk usage for me to identify what is causing it.
For the meantime try to perform cleanboot.
- Open the run box by pressing the Windows Key + R and type msconfig
- System Configuration Utility box will open and by default you are on general tab.
- On the General tab, click the selective startup and make sure that load system service and load startup items both have checked mark.
- Click on services tab
- Put a check mark on Hide All Microsoft Services
- Once Hide all Microsoft Services have checked mark on it, click on Disable All
- Click on the Startup Tab and click open task manager. This will open another window which contains all your startup applications on the administrator account.
- Disable all application that you're not using. You can simply just click on them and select disable.
- Click OK, Apply and close the configuration utility
- Restart your pc and check the task manager again.
I'll look forward for your response. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.
With Warm Regards,
Carlo T.
