Image Stitching Algorithm used in Microsoft Image Composite Editor (ICE) for Panorama Creation

Hello,

I'm a PhD student working on a project involving image stitching.

So far, ICE has had the best image stitching results for me. However, the software doesn't appear to display the algorithm used for stitching or allow you to select a different one from the options.

Anyway you could tell me which algorithm ICE uses for image stitching when creating Panoramas? I mean, intensity-based registration, feature-based, sfm, etc? It would help a lot with my project.
