microsoft office document cache migration has stopped working

Rebooting the computer leads to the message stated in the title.

I can reproduce it by starting word for example, opening any document, press file/save to and then click to skydrive.

But it can appear occasionally, too, by using any office program.

I had O2010 HUP and O2013 HUP installed at the same time.

After checking the license I removed O2010 and O2013 and even used the microsoft fix it tools to completely remove

everything used by Office. But even after reinstalling O2013 I experienced this message again.

W7, 32 bit.

Thank you for your help,

Arthur

    Hi Arthur,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for posting. By the description, I understand that the Office application crashes randomly while saving the file to SkyDrive.

Let us follow the steps to fix the issue:

    1. Click Start -> Go to All Programs,
    2. Click on Microsoft Office -> Go to Microsoft Office 2013 Tools, and then click Microsoft Office 2013 Upload Center.
    3. In Upload Center, click Settings.
    4. Under Cached Settings -> Click on Delete cached files.
    5. Click the Delete cached information when prompted.

This should fix the issue with Microsoft office document cache migration. If not, then reply and we will be glad to assist you further.

    Thank You

    Thank you for you answer.

I already tried to delete the cached files but no help.

To be accurate - Office does not crash but a small component called msosync.exe I guess.

Even if I open the upload center the error message is being displayed most of the times.

But it always appears if I try to save a file from lets say Word to SkyDrive directly.

I tried to repair the O2013 installation and even reinstall, but, again, without change.

    Kind regards,

    Arthur
