Map Chart in Excel

Question

Hello, I'm trying to create map with countries and values but australia, fiji, french polynesia etc not showing on Excel maps chart

Thanks for sharing updates with us.

Please try to select your states data >go to Data tab>click on Geographyto covert data to Geography data type****then go to insert> and insert Map chart it should be work. 

As per your screenshot of Excel version we cannot recognized your Excel version please open Excel > File > Account > under Production Information capture a screenshot and share with us and we will test on same Excel version from our side. For your reference screenshot.

Hi snssocialsky,

As per your description, I have tested from my side and I can see plotted in Map see image below for your reference:

Map Chart is sensitive to columns name and Map Chart can only plot high-level geographic details, cities, latitude and longitudes, and street address mapping isn't supported. You can find this Limitation information in this article: Create a Map chart in Excel.

When Excel fails to identify the locations, if possible, we can add another column which is a higher-level detail. Please try to add a Province column in the table to identify the province for each country, then insert the Map chart again, will all countries be plotted.

To move further could you please share with us for Excel version (open Excel > File > Account > Production Information and share a screenshot of it.  (Please mask your private information.)
