Hi John,

Once you create a Pivot Table and click the cells in table, the PivotTable Analyze and Design Tool bar will display in ribbon.  (But make sure you check the PivotTable Analyze and Design option under the Options-> Customize Ribbon-> Tool Tabs-> PivotTable Tools.)

You can have a look at this GIF:

Moreover, the PivotTable Analyze and Design Tool won’t keep in the ribbon all the time, they only show when you click the cells in PivotTable. And we can’t make them display in the toolbar

permanently. Your valuable suggestion is important for us to improve the products, you can kindly share your advice in Excel UserVoice which is a best place to collect user's request. Your suggestion will help us improve our Products and give users a better experience.

Your understanding is highly appreciated.

    Hi John,

May I know which Design tab is missing in Excel toolbar?

If you want to see the Design tab when using Excel table or PivotTable, you can click any cell in Table or PivotTable. Then the PivotTable Analyze and Design Tool bar will display. For  your reference: Where are the Table Tools?

Moreover, you can go to Options-> Customize Ribbon-> Tool Tabs, to check all the Tool tab you need.

If it’s not this case, please don’t mind and provide the detailed information, we will investigate further. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Best Regards,

    Ivy
