Is there a way to control the location of where the insert icon sits on an image placeholder? Instead of centre I'd like it top left...

No, afraid not.  Whatever code controls this position is deep inside PPT and not available to us mere mortals.

    Hi Todd,

Unfortunately, I don't think there is an OOB method to move the insert icon to the top-left corner.

In this kind of scenario, I would suggest you submit a feedback in the PowerPoint application.

How do I give feedback on Microsoft Office?

    Appreciate for your understanding.

    Regards,

    Alex Chen
