    HI,

Got late in replying back. Hope the conversation is still on. Have attached the screen shot where the option post 7 days audit report is not allowed. I am reiterating the scenario, the customer has Business Basic plan and wants to download the audit log of a user, however when he is trying to do so this is the screen coming giving just 7 days option, the custom time interval is not clickable and gives this message in red.

The client needs to download for a month time.

    Hello Anamika MukherjeeID,

Based on your post, we have checked our official article but we could not found any information that mention that Audit are free for some days and rest is paid. We need to narrow down it and so for that request you to please kindly provide entire screenshot of this message, details about from where client is running audit logs and which kind of activity are trying to retrieve from audit logs. Further please let us know from where your client purchased Office 365 subscription (such as directly from Microsoft or from partner)?

    Regards,

    Thank ankita for the response.

Is there any limitation on how many days data can be retrieved , i mean when my client is trying to retrieve data its saying 7 days available rest is paid. is it that its a paid service if we want entire 90 days data for business basic and business standard client?

My prime concern is how much data can be retrieved free of cost.

    Regards

    Anamika

    Hello Anamika MukherjeeID,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft community.

Microsoft365 Business basic and Microsoft365 Business standard have basic audit feature and are retained for 90days. Only Office365 E5 subscription includes Advanced Audit and that audit logs are retained for up to one year. Once report generated, we have to export and download the result at the same time. To check a list of Office 365 and Microsoft 365 subscriptions that support unified audit logging, please kindly check the security and compliance center service description.

For your ready reference, here sharing summary screenshot, please kindly check it.

To check Audit log search related all information (such as SharePoint and OneDrive), please kindly check our official article Search the audit log in the compliance center.

Thank you so much for your precious time.

    Regards,
