Hello,

Greetings for the day! I’m an, Independent Advisor and Microsoft user like you. Thanks for posting the query here at this forum.

Could you please try to remove the saved credentials in the MAC machines?

  1. Remove saved credentials:
  2. In the Spotlight search type Keychain
  3. Select Keychain Access
  4. Alternatively, if you are unable to see the Keychain under the spotlight, select the Utility folder and open Keychain Access
  5. Look for Exchange
  6. Then, locate "SharePoint" Cached Credential entry and delete it
  7. Restart the device
  8. Clear the App Cache Clearing all those temporary files stored in the app cache folder may help you solve this issue. The cache might be interfering with your current Office session.
  9. Quit Microsoft apps - Office / Teams.
  10. Navigate to “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft
  11. Select the Office app that’s causing the alerts.
  12. Delete all the files from that folder and restart the app.
  13. Restart your device

It doesn't matter anyway, it doesn't work. The issue is, consider it a Microsoft Virus. There is only one way to rid yourself of it. Remove outlook. If you can't, then you have to give your password to the popup. You can't decline. It'll just come back. You can't uninstall sharepoint. It is part of Outlook.

It is why folks should stop using Microsoft in all things, but that will take some time for businesses to realize. In the meantime, just let Microsoft have it's way. If sharepoint wants access to your PC or Mac, even if you don't want to give it access, you must. Simple as that.

Can I just remove sharepoint from my Mac? I don't use it.

It wants the password to your mac, not to any of your microsoft accounts. That's why I was hesitant to grant it. Since I'm not using Sharepoint, I was not inclined to give some random popup the password to my mac. But it's the only way you can make it shut up.

I have a mac for a reason, yet the microsoft virus found it's way to there too.
