M364 E3 Licensing differences

Hello

Would you be able to clarify the differences between the two SKUs below:

AAA-10726  -  M365 E3 FromSA ShrdSvr ALNG SubsVL MVL PerUsr (Original)

AAA-10756  -  M365 E3 ShrdSvr ALNG SubsVL MVL PerUsr (Original)

Thank you.

Answer:

this is old Sku before the new commerce experience. The two licenses have one difference: FromSA. **Microsoft 365 FromSA E3 provide the right to install one local copy of Office Professional Plus software.**As you can see from the link: Microsoft 365 Enterprise | Microsoft Licensing Resources

ShrdSvr stands for Shared Server, ALNG for all languages, SubsVL For Subscriptions Volume license; MVL for Microsoft Volume License. PerUser for One License Per User.

Additionally, if you get the SKU information from Microsoft Partners, for more information on the license, please contact with them.

This the same SKU however AAA-10726 is from SA means this customer may benefit from a price reduction when moving existing users from perpetual licensing to a subscription.

AAA-10756 Would be for an additional user eg a user added on the basis of a true up.

I believe the difference is to highlight why the pricing would be different for the same product, to the same customer. Which is to state that you are moving from SA in the first instance and you did not have SA on the 2nd SKU.

    Hi Shahnaz,

    Greetings.

Thank you for raising your concern in this community.

From what I have seen It is quite an old SKU adding to what I said in the response you shared, the information regarding the differences, can be found with your MS partner.

From my search results, I haven't found an official article speaking of these two types of E3 license.

Thank you for your time and understanding.

    Kind regards,

    Mac
