This is because MAY1, MAY12 etc. are valid cell addresses.
Try inserting an underscore, e.g. May_1 (or I'd prefer May_01)

I have a workbook with tables that have the syntax "Month Name" + "Day".
I tried to create a table today with the Table Name "May2", and received the following error:
The name follows all of the rules listed above and does not conflict with an existing name in the workbook. I have tested all other combinations of "Month Name" + "Days" and am only receiving this error for the month of May.
This error returns for any combination of "May" + 1-6 numbers. For example:
May1
May12
May123
May1234
May12345
May123456
If there are 7+ numbers, this error does not appear. This occurs when I test this on excel on my personal computer as well as excel on my work computer.
