iPad Excel giving Read only Error message

iPad Air 4

iPad iOS Version - 16.5.1

Excel Version - 2.76

Only some of the files are getting this error. those files are in one folder (Attached Files folder).

Other folder files have no issue.

Once you save copy the file to a different folder and rename the file error will get disappear.

I deleted the Excel app and reinstalled but the same error

Goto Settings > Excel > Reset Excel > Clear all Workbooks and delete Sign-in Credentials but the same error

Some of the other members have the same problem I think after the Excel version update this error displayed.

Please help.

    If issue happened after update, it is suggested to raise a support ticket to Microsoft.

    Please contact your admin/IT department create a support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Support> New service request. That support team there will have the correct channel and resources to help you investigate more and find what exactly the reason has caused this situation.

    We are getting an increase in the issue. We think after updating the App to 2.76v issues begin to happen.

    now I can see not only Excel Word and PowerPoint but also having the same issue.

    It is hard to say what happened on that folder, maybe it is corrupt.

    Is it possible to move all the file to another folder as workaround?

    From your description, issue seems with permission on that folder. If you are the owner of that folder, deleting that folder and recreating it again.

    I’m the owner of that folder and i checked the permissions all allowed.

    Nothing wrong with the permissions.

    This problem happen yo several users. It’s difficult them to ask delete folder.

    I need to know why is this happen and how to resolve it.
