OneNote for Mac functionality: drawing tools

Hi, I'm a bit lost in the OneNoe universe. I work with MacOS (version 16.81 OneNote for Mac) but my students are mostly on the Windows setups. I see they have much more elaborate drawing tools on their OneNoe app than I have. For example, I cannot find the shapes tool or the ruler. Do I have only the wrong version installed or do need I to load an extension? Or is the OneNote for Mac just reduced by so much functionality?

Thank you for any insight Andreas

    Dear Andreas,

    Good day!!

As per the description shared, I understand your concern but I am sorry to convey that the features in the OneNote 365 app on the Mac are limited when compared with the OneNote 365 app on the Windows OS, and the version of OneNote app on the Mac you have installed is the correct version, where the limitation is caused due to the feature differences between OneNote platforms.

I agree with you on having ability to use same features on all OneNote platforms will benefit the users and I suggest you to add your valuable idea as a feedback in the OneNote · Community (microsoft.com) which is the best place to share our ideas and improve the Microsoft product.

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,
    Sophia
