Microsoft Word "Share" function is not working

My Microsoft Word "Share" function is not working. When I got to share a document as an email attachment from within Microsoft Word it just "dings" and doesn't offer any further steps. I am also having trouble sending pages from Google Chrome under their share function as well. Please advise.

    Checks these properties on a MacBook:

    1. Ensure that your email account is properly configured on your MacBook Pro.

    Go to "System Preferences" > "Internet Accounts" and make sure your email account is set up correctly.

    1. Confirm that you have set your default email client on your MacBook.

    Go to "System Preferences" > "Mail" and select your preferred email application.

    If above statement true restart your MacBook and try sharing again with email.

    Hello Missy,

    Are you using Microsoft word on a desktop or a web version?

    If desktop:

    where you logged into OneDrive because Word will save document to OneDrive and then share with person.
