A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Hello, Van Weynsberghe Ché
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
I realize that you have encountered a problem that some files are missing after you uninstalled OneDrive app from your Mac. I understand how you feel.
I would like to explain that OneDrive is a synchronization software, and files or folders placed in the OneDrive folder rely on the OneDrive software for synchronization.
After uninstalling the OneDrive program, files or folders synchronized with OneDrive will not appear on your Mac.
Before anything, please check your OneDrive online:
Log in to OneDrive.com in a browser.
Can you find your missing files on that website?
1 -> If you can find them on that website, then reinstall OneDrive, and the files should reappear on your Mac.
You can download OneDrive app from this website: Download the OneDrive App for PC, Mac, Android, or iOS – Microsoft OneDrive.
2 -> If you cannot find them on that website, here are some steps you can try:
- Look in the Recycle Bin again. Visit OneDrive.com. On the left side of this page, select Recycle Bin. If you find the item you're looking for, select it and choose Restore.
- If you're a Microsoft 365 subscriber, you can use OneDrive's file recovery feature to undo all the actions you've taken on files and folders in the last 30 days. For step-by-step instructions, see: Restore your OneDrive - Microsoft Support.
- If the above steps don't work, I sincerely recommend you contact OneDrive email support. The support agent may help you recover data. To contact: Log in **** OneDrive.com, then click this link: https://onedrive.live.com/?action=feedback
I sincerely hope that you will recover the important files. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Best wishes,
