Issue Encountered Using Microsoft Authenticator

My phone was stolen, and like any human, I forgot to back up the login details of my last account. Now, I'm completely stuck with no access.

I’ve lost access to the following:

  • 1 Dot NET API App Service
  • 1 Angular Static Web App
  • 1 SQL Database
  • 1 SQL Server
  • 1 Blob Storage account

I’ve already contacted support via the Microsoft Authenticator app but haven’t received a solution yet. At this point, everything is inaccessible, and I’m not sure what to do next. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or escalation to help recover access.

    Hello again.

I'm sorry to hear you still have this issue.

However, as this is a situation related to recovery options, only our Support Team have the necessary tools to review your identity and help you out. I recommend calling them again to look for further options.

    Best Regards,

    Daniel C.

    Hello.

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I'm truly sorry to hear that you lost access to your account due to that issue. I completely understand how stressful and urgent this situation must be.

Since you've already contacted Support through the Microsoft Authenticator App, but not got a resolution yet, you can also call our Support Team through the Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support. You'll initially get in contact with an automated system, so, I'd recommend you follow these steps:

When you call, here is an example of how to navigate the automated phone system (IVR) to reach the right team quickly:

    • IVR: What kind of problem are you concerned about?
      You: Authenticator
    • IVR: What kind of product do you use?
      You: Office 365 for business
    • IVR: Education or company account?
      You: Company
    • IVR: Are you an administrator?
      You: Yes
    • IVR: Do you have another administrator in your organization?
      You: No
    • IVR: Do you need a service request?
      You: Yes

Let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,

    Daniel C.

Thanks for the response, I have contacted support via phone; however, the issue remains unresolved. The Authenticator account is linked to my personal profile, but it contains credentials associated with my organization, which I am currently unable to recover.
