I keep having issues with my gaming PC and my computer keeps crashing. I can't seem to find the reason for it but the event log calls for .dll error. The error states "C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wmiaptpl.dll" failed with error code The device is not ready. Performance data for this service will not be available. Event ID is 1008. The computer only crashes when trying to play Call of Duty Black Ops 6.

Troubleshooting that I have done:

  1. Scanned & repaired the application.
  2. Checked all drivers and updates are completed.
  3. Restarted computer.
  4. Changed graphics on application to lowest settings.

Please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.
