Hello Luciano Bocanegra,
The error code 50089 typically indicates that the sign-in session or "flow token" has expired, causing authentication to fail. This often happens because the temporary digital key allowing the sign-in is no longer valid, which may occur for security reasons or due to inactivity. To resolve this, the user usually needs to sign in again to obtain a fresh token.
Common steps to fix this issue include:
- Signing in again with the username and password to initiate a new authentication flow.
- Ensuring the device's date and time are correct and synced.
- Verifying a stable internet connection.
- Restarting the device to clear temporary issues.
- If using Microsoft Authenticator, ensuring the app is updated or reinstalling it if necessary in mobile.
If multi-factor authentication (MFA) is involved, the error may also mean the MFA method couldn't be validated during verification, and users should check their verification methods and try alternate methods if available.
This error is seen in various Microsoft sign-in contexts, including Microsoft 365, Azure portal, and Outlook, especially if tokens expire or MFA setups face issues.
If you are a user, share the Request Id, Correlation Id, and Timestamp with your administrator for further investigation.
- This error is transient and related to token lifecycle; it does not indicate a permanent block.
- If the problem persists after these steps, administrators may need to review conditional access policies, token lifetimes, and user MFA configurations.
If none of the above solutions work, let me know for further investigation. Please note that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
