When I try to log in to a different Microsoft account already on my system, after I do the passwords or authentication, it sends me back to do it again. I know for a fact I'm getting the password right because it works in webpages, just not apps like the Xbox app or the Microsoft store

    Hi Kiara,

I need a few more details.

Do you mean the other account is a user account, and you are unable to login into that?

Or are you trying to login to the account using the Microsoft Store?

I look forward to your response and am eager to collaborate until we find a solution.

The issue you are experiencing with being sent back to the login screen after entering the correct password in apps like the Xbox app or Microsoft Store could be related to several factors. Here are some potential causes and solutions:

    1. Windows Integrated Authentication Issues: If you are using a federated account, there may be issues with Windows Integrated authentication. Ensure that your account settings are correctly configured and that there are no issues with the Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS).
    2. Incorrect Credentials: Double-check that you are entering the correct user ID and password. Sometimes, even small typos can lead to repeated login prompts.
    3. App-Specific Issues: Sometimes, specific apps may have issues that can be resolved by resetting the app or clearing its cache. You can try resetting the Xbox app or Microsoft Store through the settings.
    4. Network Issues: Ensure that your network connection is stable. Sometimes, network interruptions can cause authentication issues.
    5. Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows is up to date, as updates can fix bugs and improve compatibility with Microsoft services.

If the problem persists after trying these solutions, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
