Building and customizing solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot APIs and tools
If your location access has been disabled by an admin, you will need to contact your Microsoft 365 Administrator to resolve this issue. They have the authority to change the settings that control location access on your device.
If you are an administrator and have locked yourself out of location services due to a location-based policy, you can follow these steps to unlock it:
- Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- Select Run Tests to populate the diagnostic.
- If the test detects a network-based location policy set, you can choose to disable the policy.
Make sure that the location privacy settings on your device are enabled as well. You can check this in Settings under Privacy > Location. If the settings are managed by your organization, only the admin can make changes.
