Trouble getting 2FA code on Microsoft Authenticator for my Rockstar Games Account

I got a new phone around December 2024 and gave my older phone to my grandma a few months ago. That old phone had all my accounts on MS Authenticator, but now that I have my new phone, the accounts aren't backed up. I want to try and sign in to my Rockstar account, but I can't do so, because no code pops up when i open the authenticator app. I have my iCloud backed up on my phone right now, but I don't know if I did on my old phone. I tried looking at Rockstar support, but it's been extremely unhelpful, and I can't even find a real person to talk to. Is there any way Microsoft can look in their database to find the account credentials?

This is my problem too but seems that Microsoft uses the same bots to respond.

If you are unable to receive a 2FA code on your Microsoft Authenticator app for your Rockstar Games account due to not having access to your old phone, here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check Backup Options: Since you mentioned having an iCloud backup, check if you can restore your old phone's data from the backup. This might include your Microsoft Authenticator app data if it was backed up.
    2. Recovery Options: If you cannot restore the old phone, you may need to look for recovery options provided by Rockstar Games. They may have alternative methods to verify your identity or reset your 2FA settings.
    3. Contact Support: Since Rockstar support has been unhelpful, consider reaching out to them again through different channels (like social media or forums) or check if they have a dedicated support page for account recovery.
    4. Use SMS or Email Verification: If you had set up SMS or email verification as a backup method for your Rockstar account, you could use those to regain access.

Unfortunately, Microsoft cannot access your account credentials or provide support for third-party applications like Rockstar Games. You will need to follow the recovery processes set by Rockstar.
