Hi,

I received the attached email (SuspectMSemail.png), thanking me for verifying my account for ******@toddbradys.onmicrosoft.com. I am not the owner for that account, no do I know anyone named Emma Elliott or Todd Brady. Not sure what I should do about the email, if anything. Does it suggest my Microsoft account might have been compromised somehow?

Thanks,

Tony

It sounds like you may have received a phishing email. Emails from Microsoft support should come from specific domains, such as microsoft.com, microsoftsupport.com, or mail.support.microsoft.com. The email you received from ******@microsoftonline.com does not appear to be from a legitimate Microsoft domain, which raises a red flag.

Here are steps you should take:

    1. Do not reply to the email or click on any links or attachments.
    2. Report the email as phishing. You can do this by following the guidance on how to report phishing emails to Microsoft. For more details, see the Microsoft support page on protecting yourself from phishing.
    3. Check your account for any suspicious activity. If you suspect your account may have been compromised, follow the steps to regain control of your account.
    4. Consider changing your password and enabling two-factor authentication for added security.

If you have any further concerns about your account security, it's advisable to contact Microsoft support directly for assistance.
