Minecraft Difficulties

I have Minecraft Bedrock Edition on three different platforms. I can join my friend's realm from my Xbox and my phone, but when I try to play from my computer, it says I'm not a member, and the realms page will not load. I would really appreciate some help with this.

    Hello brooke page,

Since the realm works fine on your Xbox and your phone but only the PC says "not a member" and won't load the Realms page, the problem is almost certainly on the PC's side rather than on the realm itself. A few PC-specific things worth checking that go beyond what's already been suggested:

    1. Confirm the PC is running Minecraft for Windows (Bedrock), not Java Edition. They look similar but they're separate products with separate realm services. Open the app and check the title bar / launcher.
    2. Sign out of all Minecraft sessions from the account side. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/, then Security > Advanced security options, and choose "Sign me out everywhere". Sign back in on the PC only and relaunch Minecraft. This clears stale sign-in tokens that can leave one device stuck "not a member" while others work.
    3. Run the Gaming Services Repair Tool. Microsoft has a dedicated tool that fixes a broken Gaming Services / Xbox identity stack on PC, which is a common cause of PC-only Realms load failures. You can try that out here https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/games-apps/troubleshooting/gaming-services-repair-tool
    4. Update Minecraft for Windows through the Microsoft Store > Library > Get updates, in case the PC is on an older Bedrock build than your Xbox or phone.

If none of those work, ask your friend (the realm owner) to remove your Microsoft account from the realm and re-invite the same account you use on Xbox/phone, then restart Minecraft on the PC.

If none of that gets you back in, the next stop is Minecraft's own support, since realm membership itself is managed on their side rather than Microsoft's: https://help.minecraft.net/.

Use the same Microsoft/Xbox account on all three devices and ensure that the PC is correctly set up to access the realm.

    1. Verify account on PC
    • On the PC, open the Xbox app or Microsoft Store and confirm the signed-in account matches the one used on Xbox and phone.
    • If different, sign out and sign back in with the account that already has access to the realm.
    1. Check device and app setup
    • Make sure Minecraft for Windows (Bedrock Edition) is installed from Microsoft Store under the correct account.
    • If the game was pushed from another device and is not appearing or behaving correctly, verify the PC is within the 10-device limit and properly associated with the account:
    1. Confirm version/platform
    • Realms access is specific to Bedrock vs Java. Ensure the PC is running Minecraft for Windows (Bedrock Edition), not Java Edition, because Java Realms and Bedrock Realms are separate and not cross-compatible.
    1. Re-add or refresh the realm
    • After confirming the correct account and app, open Minecraft on PC, go to the Realms section, and let it refresh.
    • If it still shows “not a member,” ask the realm owner to remove the account from the realm and re-invite the same Microsoft account that works on Xbox/phone, then restart Minecraft on PC and check again.

If the PC is using a different edition (Java) or a different Microsoft account, the realm will not be recognized, which matches similar issues where players were on different editions and could not find each other’s tags or realms.
