Microsoft forms link not working with interactivity tab on Clipchamp

When I try to paste the Microsoft forms link into the interactivity tab in Clipchamp, a message comes up stating that the form link is not valid. The past few times I have been able to continually exit out and log back in until this eventually works. I have noticed that the forms link changes from forms.cloud (invalid) to forms.pages (valid). Now, Microsoft forms says that they have a new url, which is forms.cloud. I am worried that since this is the new url that I will not get it to change over somehow to make it compatible with Clipchamp. I have my forms set to where people within my organization can access it. They will have to log in to do so. This setting has worked fine (ish) so far.

    Hi @Cox, Jianna M,

Based on your description, it appears that Clipchamp is rejecting the Microsoft Forms URL when you attempt to add it through the Interactivity feature. Since you mentioned that links using the older forms.pages format were previously accepted while the newer forms.cloud.microsoft links are reported as invalid, the issue may be related to how Clipchamp currently validates Forms URLs.

To help isolate the cause, I recommend the following:

1/ Create a new test form and generate a fresh sharing link to determine whether the behavior affects all newly created forms.

2/ Verify that the form opens correctly in a browser and that users within your organization can access it.

3/ Sign out of both Forms and Clipchamp, then test again using an InPrivate/Incognito browser window to rule out cached authentication data.

4/ Test using a different browser, such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.

You may also find the following Microsoft article helpful, as it explains how Forms is integrated into Clipchamp’s Interactivity feature and the expected process for adding Forms to videos: Interactivity in the Clipchamp video player - engage your audience with callouts and forms | Micros…

If the behavior persists, could you please provide the following information?

    • A screenshot of the error message shown in Clipchamp. Please remove all the personal information before sharing it.
    • Whether the form is configured for “Only people in my organization can respond” or another sharing option.
    • Whether the issue occurs with both newly created forms and older forms.

If the issue continues after following the documented process and appears to affect only the newer forms.cloud.microsoft URLs, this may indicate a compatibility issue that requires further investigation.

I look forward to your update.
