Office does not work

I have office on mac. the newest version of both mac and office apps. I have purchased the one month free trial and it says that it is started. But I cannot edit anything in my word application. WHat shall I do

    Hi,

    Have you signed in to the Microsoft 365 apps using the account where you purchased your subscription? Please ensure you are signed in with the correct account and that it says activated.

    Open your Word or any Office app > File Menu > Account

    If you are signed in to the correct account and still have the same issue, please try to log out, then log back in.
