Hi, I have run the Power troubleshooter again - no errors.
I then read the article you referenced. This was dealing with what happens when the lid of a laptop closes. I have a desktop. These settings are not there,
I then followed a few of his links to other articles he has written about power configuration.
I did notice that "Hibernation" is not available to me in my menu.
So I edited the registry to enable hibernation.
After that, still no hibernation option in the start menu.
I then remembered that there used to be a cmd-line command (powercfg -hibernation on/off). So I set that to on.
Low and behold - I can now put my computer to sleep, and when I push the power button... It actually wakes up.
I am going to test some more; and with a longer time in sleep (I tried now with one minute).
Also, thank you for the articles, very enlightning, I'm gonna read some more on your site.
