Azure pulling wrong MAC address

Hello, I hope I can get some clarification as to how or why this is happening. Here is the "issue" we are currently experiencing.

We made changes to our WiFi network to have faculty devices validate connection to our network through their MAC address. Once the changes were applied, we expected to have a few users not able to connect, mainly as a precaution and not because of anything else.
When we got the first user not able to connect we chuck it as being the random one of the bunch. However, we have had four so far, that I know of, that were not able to connect. The reason why these units have not been able to connect to our network, I found, is because the MAC address pulled from Intune was off by one digit, and I noticed this when I pulled the MAC through CMD on the device(s) and then pull the info on the same device on Intune to compare the MAC.
Example: unit01 MAC: 12:34:56:78:90:11 (Intune would show the following for the same device: 12:34:56:78:90:10 or 12:34:56:78:90:12)

This has been the case for all four units. For one of the units, the MAC has updated to the correct one, but for the others it is still showing the wrong one. I can understand five or more units having been missed during the update due to overlooking certain info, but not because the wrong MAC was pulled from Intune.
I read an article that stated that just Apple has Private WiFi MAC feature, Windows has a similar feature; however this option has been disabled as part of our company profile.

I hope this makes sense and someone is able to shed some light into this mystery. Much obliged.

@Natalia Joaquin , Before going on, please help to confirm if the affected device is Windows devices?

For Windows devices, based as I know, it will inventory the MAC of the first active Ethernet adapter in the ipconfig /all list. Please run ipconfig /all to see what it the MAC address of the first Ethernet adapter.

Please check the above information and if there's any update, feel free to let us know.

    Hi @Natalia Joaquin ,

I believe it's not related to Azure. I have added closely related tags that are related to intune and windows.

Just FYI, these are the currently supported products in this Microsoft Q&A platform.

Hi Natalia Joaquin, I have the same problem, I receive mac addresses with a difference of 1 digit. Did you find out why this is happening?P.S. I've identified the problem, Intune reports the first network adapter it finds (physical or virtual). He does not know how to identify only the physical one.
