Issue: Common data service is not able to connect to Azure data lake store Gen 2 when "Selected Networks" is configured in firewall.

Description:

Both environment and storage account are in west europe region. However, the reason connection not happening is that in Azure side I am not allowing public internet access i.e., selecting "Selected Networks" and not selecting "Allow All Networks".

If the connection was happening over the private network then connection should have happened but it is refused. When I open it for public access the connection happens and service works.

"Allowing all Networks" is not recommended. Please have a look at the service.

    Hi @LTIPRVG ADMIN ,

Thank you for your response and confirmation. I have verified with product team and confirmed that Athena (CDS - Export to Data Lake) is not supported today with firewall enabled (Option to choose "Selected Networks") ADLS Gen2 due to Azure storage limitation.

Please refer to below note in the documentation.
