Patching solution in Azure

I have multiple clients servers on Azure. Can anyone point me in the right direction around patching Azure VMs. Currently we're using Azure update management to deploy patches to VMs. Our another on-prem environment already have SCCM based patching solution.

I need to setup new environment on Azure for patching solution but don't want to use Update mgmt.

Need recommendations on alternate solution.

    Azure Update Management v1 on top of Azure Automation account is a current GA solution.
    If you are interested in a modern Update Management Center without dependencies on Azure Automation Account and Log Analytics, please have a look at
