Re the very recent announcement

Direct RDP to session host:
We are introducing a new capability that can be set at a host pool level and will take into account the type of network you are connecting from, and when possible, establish a direct peer-to-peer UDP connection to the session host rather than over the internal Windows Virtual Desktop gateways. By eliminating the intermediate hops and using a more efficient connection over a trusted network, you get a secure optimized experience with lesser connection latency and better performance.

Is this intended for remote workers not logged into an office network? Where can I find more information about it and how to set it up?

Hi,

Direct RDP to session host is one of the new security capabilities you can use with Windows Virtual Desktop, which will be available in public preview by the end of the calendar year 2020.

As mentioned in below annoucement, "You can track the progress of these upcoming public previews in our roadmap page. Hi, thanks heaps for your answer, I'll check out the video.

I've already tried to find the item in the Roadmap. Is it "Windows Virtual Desktop supports direct connectivity between client and session host over managed networks to improve the connection performance and reliability"?
