Can I save pivot table in compatibility mode?

I'm trying to save a pivot table and I see the file is in compatibility mode will that prevent me from saving the pivot table?

    I do not suggest you save Pivot Table in Excel compatibility mode.

    If a pivot table is saved in compatibility mode, it may prevent you from using certain features of the pivot table. For example, you may not be able to refresh the pivot table's data, or you may not be able to change the pivot table's layout. However, you should still be able to save the pivot table itself. To ensure that you can use all the features of the pivot table, you should save the file in the native format of the program you are using (e.g., .xlsx for Excel) instead of compatibility mode.
