WVD Joindomain ERROR

Hey

Im trying to deploy WVD for a client but when i try to create the HostPool i get the "JoinDomain" Error.
I understand this is a common problem, mostly related to DNS or the fact that there is no active domain controller or Azure ADDS configured. But in my case i have an on premise domain controller which is established with a IPSEC Gateway to my Azure VNET (DNS is set to costum on VNET to match onprem DC)

And for the sake of it, i have already tried to create a new VM in Azure and manually join the VM to the onprem domain (via system properties -> domain etc) and it works just fine.

Using the same UPN & Password as i would in the WVD Deployment but still dont work.

  • Connectivity shoudn't be a problem
  • DNS Shoudn't be a problem
  • Permissions shoudn't be a problem
  • tried different name prefix aswell since i heard that could be an issue if you re-deploy many times.

I would love some help on this since i have spent many hours without any luck here.
Thanks Alot.

I managed to fix this problem myself.
I want to share the issue & solution.

my local AD domain had the same name as my Azure AD tenant.
also, the administrator account onprem AD was the same as a user that was a part of the Azure AD tenant (as a office365 user)

i just created a new admin user in AD like "wvd@keyman .com" and tryd again and it worked.
    Finally!!!
