Snipping tool going to background - win 11

Hi,

i use the built-in snipping tool frequently during the day and in windows 10 when you would take a screenshot the snip would stay in the foreground, but in Windows 11 some genius decided that it goes automatically in the background. This is not practical, at least for me because after taking the screenshot I always use the yellow highlighter and therefore i need the image to stay in the foreground.

Is there a way to make it stick or should I give me complaint on the feedback hub?

Cheers!

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

    Reset Snipping tool:

Please open the Settings, select Apps

Choose Installed apps then choose Snipping tool

Click the 3 dots next to it and choose Advanced Options

Choose Repair and see if it will fix it, if not, please do the Reset.

If your taskbar home to your snipping tool then it should appear pink in the image you take,

The pictures I took will appear as I move my mouse pointer over it.

The one I want to view or use can be clicked.

Does Microsoft ignore all bugs and issues? This is another problem that will never get fixed, just like copying files and simply browsing a folder, that broke after windows 7 and with each windows version it gets worse.

Geezuz, who makes these changes at MS? I'm in the same boat re. the snipping tool. The amount of extra clicking around in W11 is ludicrous.
