How to Add a Workflow Lookup in a Sharepoint 2013 workflow for a list of email addresses

Question

I have a workflow that needs to email groups of individuals. I wanted to set the email command to lookup the list item (2-4 email addresses maintained in a SharePoint 2016 List) and populate the email To line with these email addresses.

I don't know the choices to make in the lookup to get it to work.

The List where the email addresses are is called Division Directors and Deputies for Routing

The List has two Columns one called Directorate Group that identify the 4 different groups of people. We can just call them group A, B, C and D. The other called Director and Deputy Emails which holds the actual email addresses.

This is the first box that pops up.

I attempt to choose what I think makes sense. Which makes sense in my head until the value section, I'm thinking I want to add the group name here, for example Group A. But I can't figure out how to do that.

If I try adding it to the field manually, I get an error:

But if I try to do a lookup for the string builder, for Group A, I feel like I am just in a never-ending loop of lookups.

It literally just keeps going and going.

Yes, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong at some step, but I can't figure out where. Can anyone assist?

Should I scrap this and figure out a different way to pull in a group of emails?

The issue has been solved. Ignored the error/warning and just typed in the group name and hit ok. It worked!
