Do i need additional license for non M365 devices to be onboarded in Defender for endpoint?

I have hybrid environment on-prem AD and AAD. Devices in AAD are fully managed by Intune and use XDR with P2 license.

Devices in on-prem AD are not managed with Intune or Defender.

On-prem devices are using third party antivirus software which i want to remove and use Defender for Endpoint with XDR portal. I know there is a possibility to onboard such devices, but the question is what licenses i need additionally for each device? Is there added cost to onboard those devices to Defender for Endpoint?
