Deploying windows 10 pro 20H2 via MDT. The build completes successfully if selected to join a work group, however it fails if selected to join the domain.
The build gets to the State Restore Phase and then errors out:

The wizard.hta then just comes up blank white, no error message displayed.
Weirdly the machine has successfully joined the domain and is in the correct OU.

You don't say what your previous experience is with MDT, but just to check you are doing a full sysprep, as part of a Capture task etc? Various issues can only manifest themselves once you join the domain if you don't clean things up properly with sysprep. There isn't much else to go on in the info you have I'm afraid.
Hello, Im not using a capture task sequence. This is a vanilla build with the iso from Microsoft.
Brand new MDT server, created task sequence with defaults, loaded in OS from the microsoft ISO and drivers.
Right, ok.
Only thing I can suggest is you gather more info -
