Onedrive is no longer working on Windows 2012 R2

Approximately a month ago we noticed that the OneDrive service responsible for our file backups was giving an error.

We tried to reinstall it with the installer we had and it didn't work.

I went to the Microsoft website and downloaded the updated software, but it doesn't even install, it says it is only compatible with Windows 10 or 11.

I found this person asking about the same problem, but the answer they gave was not possible to solve OneDrive on Windows 2012 R2

    not solved yet, no answer, hopefully MS is aware about it @Emi Zhang-MSFT was tried to investigate, no result, no update

    I suggest you try to download the earlier version of OneDrive:

    And ensure that your Windows Server 2012 R2 is up to date with the latest Windows updates and patches. Sometimes, compatibility issues can be resolved by updating the operating system.
