Hi,

While deploying ARO cluster, do we have any option for selecting Openshift version via Azure CLI ?

By default, it's getting created with 4.12.25 version and we are upgrading this to latest version after the deployment. Instead of that, we want to deploy the cluster with latest version.

Regards,

    Hey Mangi,Balaraju,IN-Chennai ,

Thank you for reaching out on the Microsoft Q&A .

While you can't directly specify the OpenShift version during ARO deployment via Azure CLI, you have two options:

    1. Deploy with the Latest Version: ARO automatically uses the latest supported OpenShift version. Check the current version here.
    2. Upgrade After Deployment: Deploy the cluster with the default version, then upgrade it to your required version. Follow the upgrade steps here.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
