we are currently using an account (<PrivateInfoRemoved>) with Bing IDs.We would like to move forward using Azure Maps, however, there currently isn’t a standard connector for Power Automate or Power Apps as there is with Bing Maps. From what we understand, Azure Maps requires a premium HTTP connector and Bings Maps does not. Is that planned in the future or will using Azure Maps always require premium licensing in Power Platform? I believe our only option to use Azure Maps would be to license the specific Power Automate flow using a Per-Flow license.

I'm a bit surprised the HTTP connector is premium. Looking around there has been a lot of discussion on that, with many saying that it is marked premium but available in standard. Not sure what the story is there.

As for Azure Maps, there is a short thread here: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Bing-Maps-Retirement-what-should-I-do/td-p/2772373 However I don't know the person who answered the question, so can't say if what they said is true. I'm asking around to see if I can get an official response from the Azure Maps team.

That said there are a couple alternative options:

    1. As you likely found, HTTP connector would be an option if it wasn't a premium connector (I would double check to see if you have access to it anyways as it sounds like older standard accounts might have been grandfathered in to keep this).
    2. Consider using an Azure Logic app instead that calls into Azure Maps. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/connectors/connectors-native-http?tabs=standard
