How do I peer vnets in different subscriptions?

I've been doing some samples where I peer two vnets in different subscriptions and regions. I was able to peer my vnets and I can see that they are indeed peered.

To simulate the scenario, I created two vms in their respective regions using the vnets I peered. However, doing a simple ping is not working which signifies they are not connected. Did I miss anything in my setup? For reference, I'm following this MS Docs.

    Hi @Bon Macalindong ,

if the VMs in the 2 vNets/subnets are Windows VMs did you allow ICMP in the OS firewalls on both VMs?

Are there any Network Security Groups involved associated with the subnets or/and VMs?

No overlapping IP address ranges in the vNets?
